Framework
With increased pressure on public sector organisations to deliver on ambitious targets for the development of new-build social housing, WPA have re-established a new framework for social landlords across Wales.
The New Homes for Wales framework provides public sector organisations with an efficient and compliant procurement route for the construction of all types of new housing.
The framework includes the option for a client to directly award a construction project associated with a land purchase element, where the company has a direct interest in the land.
To ensure a mix of local SMEs and larger contractors, the framework has been broken down geographically into 5 regions of Wales (North-East, North-West, Mid, South-East, South-west) and by project size as follows:
- Micro Lot: 1-5 homes
- Small Lot: 6-15 homes
- Medium Lot: 16-49 homes
- Large Lot: 50+ homes
This framework is split into two workstreams with options to provide services under each workstream: Construction and Demolition.
